Christmas Eve Fun With My New Toy

I appreciate everyone’s well wishes for the improvement of my health this holiday season. Due to my illness and slow recovery, my dads have canceled their trip to Sydney, Australia and are spending this Christmas at home with me. I am happy that they are with me instead of on the other side of the world. As I have been such a cooperative patient during this latest Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) occurrence (and good boy all year round), I got to open one of my Christmas presents early. As I am a very capable and smart, of course I can certainly open it myself. Wow! Just what I wanted. It is the perfect size and color. I love my new Mr. Martian squeaky toy. It was so nice of my grandma Gerry to send it all the way from Massachusetts. It is just like the one that I brought with me when I last visited her last summer and incessantly squeaked by the lake’s edge on her beautiful lawn. I get to squeak it for as long as my jaw can handle, which has my dads on the verge of insanity. My increased interest in playing with Mr. Martian is a positive sign of continued improvement in my health. My dads found amusement in conducting an experiment by testing my preference for the new versus old Mr. Martian incarnation. I showed them that I am not easily fooled and immediately discerned between the two versions. I much prefer my latest Mr. Martian to the previous model. There is just something incredibly appealing about the smell and taste of new rubber. Thank you grandma Gerry for the awesome Christmas gift! I look forward to squeaking Mr. Martian at your house this summer.
