I am feeling so much better since I have been discharged from the hospital (see I'm Going Home From the Hospital). My energy is improved and I am starting to play with my Mr. Martian toy just like old times.
I really love to chase Mr. Martian up and down the carpeted upstairs hallway, as the traction allows me to quickly adjust to Mr. Martian’s abrupt changes of direction.
Today, my dads took me to the hospital to check my blood tests again. I am happy that my improved condition means that I don’t have to spend time there as a hospitalized patient.
It is much more fun to occasionally stop by to have my blood drawn and meet the kitty patients.
I LOVE kitties, as they entertain to me in so many ways. I love to smell, stare, lick, or do whatever it takes to get as close to them as possible.
Since I just can’t keep myself calm in the presence of a feline friend, it is best that my dad holds me tight and keeps the cat and I separated by a cage door.
The scenario reminds me of Jodie Foster’s interaction with Anthony Hopkins in the movie Silence of the Lambs. This kitty in this picture even wears an Elizabethan collar, reminiscent of Hannibal Lecter’s protective face mask.
As there is so much I seek from my captive subject, our best interests are served through limited contact.
Our conversation ultimately ended with an undesirable interaction when I received a hiss, then a swat that narrowly missed my cute, black nose. Later that night I woke up in dark and heard the hissing of the cats.
I’ll report back once my blood tests have returned. Things are looking positive for me.
I Got to See, Smell, and Almost Lick a Kitty!
