Have you ever had a pet suspected or confirmed to have mange? It's a term for a parasitic organism that infests the skin of dogs, cats, and other animals and people. Mange is nearly always itchy to pets and can present very similar to how bacterial or yeast infection, food or environmental allergies, and other skin issues appear to veterinarians trying to establish a diagnosis and prescribe appropriate treatment. Fortunately, mange can be treated both with medications and complementary and alternative (CAM) treatments to provide a holistic approach to the parasite's treatment.
